How to choose your Game language?

You can choose the language of your game in the pledge manager after the campaign (regardless of the reward you pick) We will share the pledge Manager with you after the campaign ends :)

How to order additional copies of the Game?

You can simply add as many additional copies of the Game to any reward as Add-ons after you chose your reward. You also get the additional Game Add-ons at 26% off retail :)

Why do only SUPER EARLY BIRD and HYPER PACK rewards charge shipping?

We accidentally included shipping costs directly in the campaign tiers: Super Early Bird and Limited Hyper Pack, even though our plan was to handle all shipping later through the pledge manager. This wasn’t supposed to happen, and Kickstarter support can’t change that. Sorry, it’s our first Kickstarter, after all. 

For now, you don’t need to do anything and rest assured, this won’t affect your pledges — We’ll simply calculate the shipping cost after the campaign in the Pledge Manager, and we will only charge or refund the difference to the shipping you paid up front. You can find your actual shipping estimates in the Shipping Table.

When does the campaign end?

The campaign ends on May 8th.

We chose this date deliberately - it marks the Day of Liberation from National Socialism in Germany and is known in many other countries as Victory in Europe Day, commemorating the end of World War II in Europe.

This timing isn’t just a coincidence. It’s a symbolic gesture that reflects one of the deeper messages of Mankind Madness: the need to confront the forces that continue to shape our world—greed, hate, and fear—and to consider how they affect us on a personal and societal level.

While the game explores many of today’s pressing global issues, this date stands as a reminder to reflect, resist, and remain aware of the challenges humanity still faces.

When will I receive my game?

After the campaign ends, there’s a 14-day processing period before we receive the final backer data from Kickstarter. During that time, we’ll be finalizing our order with the manufacturer and setting up the Pledge Manager so you can confirm your shipping details and choose any additional add-ons.

Once that’s done, we’ll move into production. Printing and manufacturing will take some time (with a bit of back-and-forth along the way), but if everything goes smoothly, we expect the games to arrive at our fulfillment centers around November. From there, deliveries can begin!

Where will my reward ship from?

When we first launched this campaign, we really didn’t expect it to be such a success, especially with so much support from overseas! Since we weren’t sure how many international backers we’d have, our original plan was to ship everything from our base in Germany, Europe.

That changes now, as we’re in contact with multiple fulfillment agencies, especially for North America and Australia/New Zealand, with hopes of reducing delivery times and dropping down shipping costs.

Why are the shipping costs to my country so high?

When we first launched this campaign, we honestly didn’t expect it to take off the way it has, especially with so much support from overseas! Since we weren’t sure how many international backers we’d have, our original plan was to ship everything from our base in Germany, Europe.

But you’ve blown us away and we need to change our plans! We’re already exploring partnerships with fulfillment centers in North America and Australia to help reduce shipping costs as much as possible. Our goal is to make delivery fair and affordable for everyone. We’ll keep you posted on any updates regarding shipping improvements!

What about US tariffs? Will I have to pay extra?

We’re actively monitoring the situation, but it’s hard to say exactly what things will look like by the time shipping begins this fall. If current US import tariffs on board games remain in place, they could increase the cost of bringing the game into the country.

That said, we’re committed to keeping shipping as fair and affordable as possible. We plan to absorb part of the extra cost ourselves, but depending on how things evolve, a portion of the tariffs may need to be passed on to our US backers.

We promise to keep you in the loop as we get closer to fulfillment and have more clarity.

How does Kickstarter work?

Good question! Kickstarter isn’t a traditional store, but a platform for people (called “backers”) to pledge money to help bring creative ideas to life. In return, creators offer different reward tiers that usually reflect the most important parts of the project. In our case, with your pledge, you’re helping us manufacture our board game, MANKIND MADNESS, or it’s German counterpart Vor[ur]teile, and making our dream project a reality. We offer a copy of the game in the first edition as a reward for helping us achieve this. If the campaign reaches its funding goal, your pledge will be collected at the end of the campaign.

After that, you’ll receive an invitation to our pledge manager, where you’ll confirm your delivery details and pay any applicable shipping fees or taxes (see our “Shipping” section for more info). Please be aware that without this step, we won’t be able to send you your reward.

We expect our Pledge Manager to open in late May and the delivery of your games to be at the end of the year.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
